General

Meteorologist displays too much information when I select "Forecast Inline" and I can't see some attributes, such as "high temp." Meteorologist never used to do this, how do I fix it like it was before?

You can uncheck the option "Forecast on one line" under the Weather tab. Alternatively, disable some of the forecast items so that the forecast menu only shows the items that you care about (to do this, choose "Edit City" and then click on the "Forecast Items" tab).

How do I get Metric/Celsius Units (Meteorologist only shows Fahrenheit)?

Under the "Cities" tab of preferences, make sure that "Enable Global Units" is checked and then select the metric units you want.

How do I add radar to my city?

Go to the City Editor and double-click on the name of the city for which you would like radar to be shown. Choose the "Weather Items" tab in the sheet that appears. Scroll down until you see the item "Radar image", and make sure that the checkbox next to it is checked.

I can't perform a successful city search for a city. What can I do?

Please file a bug report. Include the city name and what version of Meteorologist you are using.

I can search for my city, but Meteorologist doesn't display info about my city. What can I do?

Please file a bug report. Include the city name and what version of Meteorologist you are using.

Why am I getting weird forecasts or weather icons?

Most likely this is due to the fact that weather.com has once again changed the layout of their forecast pages. Try to quit and re-open Meteo. If the problem still persists, and after searching the Bug tracker, you find that no one else has reported the issue, please notify the Meteo team of the problem by opening a new tracker item.

Can I localize Meteo?

Hypothetically, this is possible; however, none of the dynamic components (specifically, the forecast menu itself) are currently localizable. If you have any experience, feel free to explore the single .nib file, but we suggest waiting some time while we compile a translation how-to.

Is Meteo incompatible with APE extensions?

The team is currently looking into the problem. It appears, however, that certain haxies will crash Meteo.

How can I have Meteo start up when I log in?

In 10.2, open System Preferences and then Login Items. Click the Add... button at the bottom and choose Meteo from where you have it on your hard drive.

In 10.3, open System Preferences and then Accounts. Make sure your account is selected on the left, and then choose the Startup Items tab. Click the "+" below the list of programs and choose Meteo from where you have it on your hard drive. Make sure the "Hide" checkbox is not checked.

Instructions for 10.1 are unavailable because none of the developers are still using 10.1. If you are a user of 10.1, please leave us comment on the news forums with instructions so that others may use them.
